Subsidiya para sa training at certification ng OFWs at seafarers, ipinanawagan

Pinasasama ni MARINO Party-list Representative Sandro Gonzales sa Bayanihan 3 ang subsidiya para sa training at certification ng mga overseas Filipino worker (OFW) at seafarer.

Ayon kay Gonzales sa kabila ng patuloy na COVID-19 pandemic ay dapat maihanda pa rin ang seafarers at land-based OFWs sa muling pagbubukas ng ekonomiya sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na pagsasanay.

Katunayan, nakapag-ambag pa rin aniya ng ₱1.5-trillion ang seafarers at OFWs sa ekonomiya ng bansa noong nakaraang taon kahit mayroong travel restrictions at deployment bans.

Mungkahi ni Gonzales ipaloob sa Bayanihan 3 ang pagkakaroon ng subsidiya sa entrepreneurship at skills training katuwang na rin ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture (DA), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), at mga LGU bukod pa sa financial assistance.

Maaari aniyang dagdagan ang pondo ng Department of Labor and Employment-Abot Kamay ang Pagtulong (DOLE-AKAP) program para sa implementasyon ng subsidize trainings.

“With vaccines now being rolled out, we may be at the end-game of the pandemic. Therefore, Bayanihan 3 must not just look at the mere survival of our countrymen, but also at positioning various sectors to maximize opportunities for the anticipated economic recovery,” paliwanag ni Gonzalez.
